Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.
|A single word||
||Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats".|
You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase.
Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations.
Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase.
Two or more words in the same topic
|Either word in a topic||
|Topics that do not contain a specific word or phrase||
|Topics that contain one string and do not contain another||

OMi runs in a web browser and uses the web browser's navigation features. For example, you can use the web browser's back and forward buttons, the web browser's bookmarks, history, refresh, full screen, and print features.
Each OMi UI has a dedicated URL, which you can bookmark for quicker access to individual UIs.
The title bar displays a logo, the name of the Operations Manager i product, and menus.
The submenus in the Workspaces and Administration menus can be expanded and collapsed. OMi remembers the expand and collapse states of each submenu so that you can return to them more easily.
You can use the search for menu items field to search the menus for a specific item. OMi suggests matching menu items as you type.
The user menu displays the name of the currently logged in user. You can access all user-specific areas by using this menu, for example, account or password information. You can also log out of OMi by using the user menu.
The Help menu takes you to OMi Help and to additional resources in the Internet. You can also look up the OMi version from this menu.
Breadcrumbs enable you to keep track of your location within OMi. They provide links back to each page you navigated through to get to the current page.
You can view previous pages within a multi-level context by clicking one of the links in the breadcrumb.
You can hide the breadcrumbs by clicking the Collapse button to the left of the Help menu. Click Expand to show them again.
