Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.
Search for | Example | Results |
---|---|---|
A single word | cat
|
Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats". |
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase. |
"cat food" (quotation marks) |
Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase. |
Search for | Operator | Example |
---|---|---|
Two or more words in the same topic |
|
|
Either word in a topic |
|
|
Topics that do not contain a specific word or phrase |
|
|
Topics that contain one string and do not contain another | ^ (caret) |
cat ^ mouse
|
A combination of search types | ( ) parentheses |

Grant certificates automatically by IP address
The Autogrant IP Ranges tab in the Certificate Requests manager enables you to configure the data processing server to grant certificate requests automatically, based on the IP address that the computer used to send the certificate request. You can configure one or more ranges of IP addresses, and the data processing server automatically grants all certificate requests that originate from any IP address in those ranges.
Administration > Setup and Maintenance > Certificate Requests
Alternatively, click Certificate Requests.
Click the Autogrant IP Ranges tab.
Learn More
OMi gateway servers and other HPE BTO Software applications use certificates to identify themselves and communicate securely with each other. The data processing server acts as a certificate authority. It can issue the required certificates to other computers in your environment, in response to the certificate requests that it receives.
Tasks
-
Open the Certificate Requests tab in the Certificate Requests manager:
Administration > Setup and Maintenance > Certificate Requests
Click the Autogrant IP Ranges tab.
-
Click the New Item button. The Add IP Range dialog box opens.
-
Type IP addresses in Start IP and End IP. You can use either IPv4 addresses or IPv6 addresses. The End IP address must be numerically higher than the Start IP. Click OK.
Note IPv6 addresses can omit leading zeros (0) in every block. In addition complete blocks consisting of zeros only (0000) can be omitted, indicated through double colons (::). For example the following text representations of an IPV6 address are accepted:
fe80:0000:0000:0000:0202:b3ff:fe1e:8329
fe80:0:0:0:202:b3ff:fe1e:8329
fe80::202:b3ff:fe1e:8329
Shortened IP addresses can also be entered in the Autogrant range fields. For example:
0:0:0:0:0:0:0:
1 can be represented as::1
. -
The new IP address range is initially inactive. Click the IP address range in the list, and then click the button to activate the IP address range.

Troubleshooting
Certificate requests from an IP address in an active IP address range are not automatically granted. The requests have the status Denied.
You can also automatically grant or deny certificate requests using a script. OMi evaluates the script before the IP address ranges. If the script denies a certificate request, it is not possible to subsequently grant that request, even if the IP address is within one of the active IP address ranges that you specify.
