Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Administration > Event Processing > Correlation > Event Storm Suppression Alternatively, click Event Storm Suppression. Select the button and go to the Exceptions tab. |

The Change Event Storm Suppression Exceptions tab contains the displays the UI elements listed in the following table.

New Item: Opens the Add Exception dialog box. For more information about configuring Event Storm Suppression, see Configure Event Storm Suppression. |

Edit Item: Opens the Change Exception dialog box to edit an existing exception rule. |

Delete Item: Deletes the selected exception rule. |

Move Up: Moves the selected exception rule up to a higher priority position. |

Move Down: Moves the selected exception rule down to a lower priority position. |

Opens the Manage Event Filters dialog box, enabling you to select the event filter that you want to apply. From the Select an Event Filter dialog box, you can also open the Filter Configuration dialog box to create an event filter, edit or delete an existing event filter. For information about defining filters, see Event Filters. |

Order |
Where more than one mapping rule is available for a configuration item type, the number in the Order column indicates the order in which the rules are applied during the mapping process. Using the Move Up and Move Down buttons, you can change the position of rules in the list. Note If a rule matches, no further rules are applied. |

Filter used to select events to retain. |
Log only |
Events generated from a system under event storm conditions matching a log-only exception rule are retained but automatically closed. Note Events that are released back into the event pipeline as a result of matching an exception rule may undergo subsequent processing which can result in these events not being displayed in the Event Browser or appearing in the Closed Events Browser. |
