Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Monitoring Automation Web Service Interface
The REST- based Monitoring Automation Web Service enables integrators to access the following Monitoring Automation functionality from an external application:

List all management template, aspect, or policy template assignments.
- List all automatic assignments for a view.
- List all assignments of a certain management template, aspect, or policy template.

List all management template, aspect, or policy template assignments to a certain CI.

List all automatic assignments to a certain management template or aspect version.
- List all management templates or aspects assignable for a view.

List all management templates and aspects assignable to a certain CI.

List all deployment jobs created as a result of an assignment.

Find status and parameter information for a certain assignment of a management template, aspect, or policy template.

Create, update, and delete assignments of management templates, aspects, or policy templates.

Create, update, and delete automatic assignments of management templates or aspects.

List available management templates, allowing filtering by CI type or management template ID.

List available aspects, allowing filtering by CI type or aspect ID.

List available policy templates, allowing filtering by template ID.
Note: Only direct assignments, not indirect assignments, are listed by the Monitoring Automation web service.
