Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.
Search for | Example | Results |
---|---|---|
A single word | cat
|
Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats". |
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase. |
"cat food" (quotation marks) |
Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase. |
Search for | Operator | Example |
---|---|---|
Two or more words in the same topic |
|
|
Either word in a topic |
|
|
Topics that do not contain a specific word or phrase |
|
|
Topics that contain one string and do not contain another | ^ (caret) |
cat ^ mouse
|
A combination of search types | ( ) parentheses |

Data Sources
OMi Performance Dashboard supports the following data sources:
- Operations Agent
- SiteScope
- Operations Connector
- OpsBridge Store
- Application Performance Management (APM)
- Cloud Optimizer
The data sources continuously collect data about the monitored elements and store it in the data store for future use. The Performance Dashboard enables you to visualize this historical data stored in the persistent data stores.
OMi Performance Dashboard validates the data source set for the Monitored By property in RTSM and queries data only from the listed data sources.
If the Monitored By property for a CI is OM
and/or BSMC:<CONNECTED_SERVER_NAME>
, Performance Dashboard checks the PE endpoint status by querying the following REST URL:
http://<OMi_Gateway_server/PE/rest/1.0/admin/endpoint
The status "Success"
implies that the CI is monitored by the Performance Engine. Accordingly, OpsBridge Store, i.e. the data store provided by Performance Engine is listed as the data source in the Performance Dashboard.
For the CIs that are monitored by Operations Agent, the data source listing is also based on the Operations Agent as Default Data Source setting in Infrastructure Settings page.
The following table explains how the data sources are listed in Performance Dashboard based on the Monitored By and Operations Agent as Default Data Source attributes.
Monitored By Property |
Operations Agent as Default Data Source |
Data Source (s) Listed |
---|---|---|
OM |

Operations Agent |

You can include Operations Agent a data source for all monitored CIs if you are using Operations Agent to monitor the CIs in your environment.
- Go to Administration > Setup and Maintenance > Infrastructure Settings.
- Select Performance Dashboard from the Applications drop-down list.
-
Under Performance Dashboard - Settings, set the value of Default Data Source to true.
Note If the value is true, Operations Agent data is graphed on the Performance Dashboard even if the “Monitored by” property for the node CI is not “OM”. If the value is false, data from the Operations Agent will be graphed only if the “Monitored By” property of the node CI is "OM".
