Create a new baseline version

Applies to User Roles:

System Administrator

You can create a new baseline version to change the attributes managed by the baseline. You can only create a new version from the most recent version of a baseline record.

To create a new baseline version, follow these steps:

  1. Click Configuration Management > Resources > Baseline.

  2. Use search or advanced search to find one or more records.
  3. Select the most recent version of the baseline record from the list of search results. Service Manager displays the details of the selected baseline record.

  4. Click Add Version. Service Manager opens the Baseline Attributes wizard.

  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to modify attributes or attribute values as needed. Service Manager creates a new baseline record in the Analysis state. The baseline record version increments to the version number you specified.
