Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Verify Knowledgebase Search Server Connectivity
User Role: System Administrator, KMAdmin
When a search server is added or edited, you need to test whether Service Manager is communicating with the server.
To verify the knowledgebase search server is communicating with Service Manager:
- From the navigator menu, select Knowledge Management > Configuration > Configure Search Servers and then click Search.
- Select the server name you want to verify.

Click Verify Server. If the search server is correctly set up, an information window displays with the following message: Search Engine Connected.
Once the server settings are verified, you may index and search the knowledgebases.
