Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Send a notification from a request
Security Roles: Requestor, Request Coordinator
You can send a notification to one or more recipients in a particular request phase.
This "Notify" action is available in all request phases. Users who have the “View” right in the “Request” area can run this action.
To send a notification from a request record, follow these steps:
- Click Request Fulfillment > Search Requests, enter your search criteria, and then click Search.
- Open the request record from which you want to send a notification.
- Click More or the More Actions icon, and then click Notify.
- Select the date and time to send this notification.

Add one or more recipients to the To text box, or type an assignment group in the Group text box.

Select one of the following notification methods:

Mail: Uses the internal Service Manager Mail application (not email).

Email: Uses the Service Manager email application.
If you select Email, you can specify the names of the recipients in the CC and BCC fields as needed. In addition, you can click Attachment > Add Files to add attachments to the email message as needed.

Modify the subject and the message in the notification as needed.
- Click Send.
