Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Create a form using the Form Wizard
Applies to User Roles:

You use the Form Wizard to create a new form for an existing database table. You must use the Windows client to create a new form in Forms Designer.
To create a form using the Form Wizard:
- Click Tailoring > Forms Designer in the System Navigator, or type
fd
on the Service Manager command line and then press Enter. - Click New.
- Click Yes to use the Form Wizard.
- Type the name of the new form and click OK.
- Type or select the name of the table you want to associate with the form, and click OK.
- You can create a form that displays a single record or a form that displays a list of records. Select the type of form you want to create and click OK.
- Select a size for the form.
- Change the

in the Show (t/f) column if you do not want a particular field included on the completed form. - Change the text in the Field Label column to update the label on the form.
- Click Proceed. The new form opens in Design mode.
- Add a field to the new form, as follows:
- Drag the control to its approximate location, select the field, and then modify its Properties.
- To modify a field, select it and then modify the value of the Property you want to adjust.
- To delete a field, select it and press Delete.
- Click Web Preview to see what the form will look like in the Web client.
- Click OK to see what the form will look like in the Windows client.
- Click OK to save your changes.

Open the form using Database Manager to test your changes:
- Click Tailoring > Database Manager.
- Click Search. Service Manager opens a list of forms.
- Click the form you just created to open it.
