Startup parameter: maxmsgsharedmemory

Startup parameters change the behavior of the Service Manager server. You can always set a startup parameter from the server's operating system command prompt.




This parameter defines the maximum number of bytes of shared memory that the Service Manager server can use for unviewed messages.

Initialization file (sm.ini)

Requires restart of the Service Manager server?


Default value

Ten percent (10%) of the shared memory or 1 GB (1073741824), whichever is less.

Example usage

Command line: sm -httpPort:13080 -maxmsgsharedmemory:5120000

Initialization file: maxmsgsharedmemory:5120000
