Task 11: Restore the DEM Rules in Service Manager

After you have run a full data push to resynchronize CI names to Service Manager, you must restore the DEM rules to their original state so that they can function as usual.

To restore the DEM rules, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Service Manager as a System Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Tailoring > Web Services > Discovered Event Manager Rules.
  3. Click Search.
  4. In each DEM rule, for Action if record exists but unexpected data discovered, restore the setting to the original value (for example, Open a Change or Open an Incident).
