Record retrieval

HPE Service Manager allows you to search for and retrieve database records based on particular user-provided search criteria (query). Searching is case-sensitive by default, unless your database has been set up for case-insensitive searching. There are three methods of querying records from a Service Manager database:

  • Simple queries are defined using the record list method.
  • More complex queries are defined using the query window method.
  • Other queries can be performed using IR Expert information retrieval.
