HTTPS Communication Configuration

This topic describes the default security configurations for HTTPS communication within NNMi.

  • By default, NNMi and the Network Node Manager i Software Smart Plug-ins (iSPIs) support HTTPS with a self-signed certificate generated at the time of installation.

Note It is strongly recommended that a CA-signed certificate be installed to replace the default certificate. See the "Managing Certificates" chapter in the Network Node Manager i Software Deployment Reference for more information.

  • The default cryptographic protocol for HTTPS communication with the NNMi web server is TLSv1.2.

See Enable HTTPS-Only Communication to configure NNMi to allow only HTTPS communication.
